The Ban on Outdoor Social Gatherings to Stop the Spread of Covid, Scientific Fact or Fiction?

The year 2020 where the Novel Coronavirus outbreak happens worldwide. We have listened to many doctors giving their take of it on the media. Supposed ways of spreading the infection have changed many times over throughout the year.

Businesses have been forced to close. Some being forced to close their doors for good due to bankruptcy. People have been forced out of work, trying to support themselves and their families on meager wagers from unemployment benefits. We are thankful for those benefits.

All the while, who really can prove how not to catch covid?  Who in the U.S. Government has the authority to deem what businesses are essential and non-essential? Paintball is an outdoor sport. There is no scientific proof that running around in an outdoor paintball arena trying to capture your opposing team’s flag while wearing a mask puts you at risk of contracting C-19.

There is scientific proof that outdoor exercise is beneficial for the human immune system and can even help PREVENT a person from contracting any illness.

Listen up Government Officials, aka, “Brainiacs”!  If you really want to cut out all non-essential business, why not prohibit the sale of all non-essential items in grocery stores? Not joking here.

Customer flow at grocery stores can be significantly reduced by prohibiting sales of non-essential products like alcohol and cigarettes.

You see, this nonsense of closing everything non-essential to stop the spread of covid has gotten seriously out of hand.

Outdoor paintball parks ARE Essential Businesses, especially when our youth have nowhere else to go for exercise. Schools are closed. Playgrounds are closed. Public athletic fields are closed.  https://www.paintballusa.org/

Youth sports is so important. Kids and young adults spend hours sitting on the couch playing video games. Yes, video games are a lot of fun, but to keep our immune system healthy, exercise is key.

Battling another cough or cold? Feeling tired all the time? You may feel better if you take a daily walk or follow a simple exercise routine a few times a week.

Exercise helps decrease your chances of developing heart disease. It also keeps your bones healthy and strong.

We do not know exactly if or how exercise increases your immunity to certain illnesses. There are several theories. However, none of these theories have been proven. Some of these theories are:

  • Physical activity may help flush bacteria out of the lungs and airways. This may reduce your chance of getting a cold, flu, or other illness.
  • Exercise causes change in antibodies and white blood cells (WBC). WBCs are the body's immune system cells that fight disease. These antibodies or WBCs circulate more rapidly, so they could detect illnesses earlier than they might have before. However, no one knows whether these changes help prevent infections.
  • The brief rise in body temperature during and right after exercise may prevent bacteria from growing. This temperature rise may help the body fight infection better. (This is like what happens when you have a fever.)
  • Exercise slows down the release of stress hormones. Some stress increases the chance of illness. Lower stress hormones may protect against illness.
